Structural Types Of Dry-type Transformers

Jun 18, 2025 Leave a message

The dry-type transformer is mainly composed of a core made of silicon steel sheets and a coil cast with epoxy resin. An insulating tube is placed between the high and low voltage coils to increase electrical insulation, and the coils are supported and constrained by pads. The fasteners of the overlapping parts have anti-loosening properties.
Structural performance:
⑴ Solid insulation encapsulated winding
⑵ Unencapsulated winding
Winding: Of the two windings, the higher voltage is the high voltage winding, and the lower voltage is the low voltage winding.
From the relative position of the high and low voltage windings, the high voltage can be divided into concentric and overlapping types.
Concentric windings are simple and easy to manufacture, and this structure is adopted.
Overlapping type is mainly used for special transformers.
